Lessons in Astonishment

Somewhere beyond the premise of our daily lives, otherness radiates and occasionally intervenes.

In essays and fiction, HR Hegnauer, Selah Saterstrom, and Frankie Rollins address events that arise and demand astonishing changes in perception or existence. Hegnauer will read from her manuscript of essays, The Weights: Meditations on Mortality from Inside the Labyrinth. Saterstrom, author of Slab and Rancher, will read from visionary new work.  Rollins, author of The Grief Manuscript and The Sin Eater & Other Stories, will read from her manuscript, The Empty House Fairytales, a collection of fairytales for disappointed women.
